Hong Geon-ik House is excited to introduce Seochon : Explorative Walk, a guided tour designed for international visitors.

 

This guided tour serves as a comprehensive journey through the Seochon area, highlighting the multiple layers of time and space surrounding the western side of Gyeongbokgung Palace. Structured around key themes such as 'space', 'history', 'art', and 'public', the tour invites participants to explore Seochon with expert docents.

 

Our first theme, 🪨Rock Engravings, invites you to uncover the fascinating stories behind Seochon’s hidden markings. Located on the western side of Gyeongbokgung Palace, Seochon is home to rock engravings spanning different historical eras. This tour begins at Hong Geon-ik House and offers a unique opportunity to explore these engravings, learn their history, and understand their cultural significance.

As you wander through Seochon’s charming alleys, you'll witness how these engravings reflect the lives, beliefs, and events of the past. Join us for an unforgettable journey through time!
